JINGYI SHAO

Jingyi Shao is a Chinese-American director whose childhood spent buried in books between the stacks at the local library has given him a deep passion for stories. Not only does he draw inspiration for stories from his own life, but he is able to invent wildly creative worlds and imbue them with heart and substance. His desire to tell tales that can bridge both Chinese and American narratives has made him one of the few directors able to craft films that resonate with audiences no matter their background.
